The Siren was a Russian military radio station broadcasting from Saint Petersburg, Russia. The station was first reported in early August 2026 and has a male operator which uses the Russian language in voice messages, only using Belarusian in 1 message. The station had multiple frequencies, and corresponded to the Western Military District station 05XON. On September 7th, 2026, the station, alongside affiliated station The Swoop shut down due to overwhelming transmission costs from running the 2 stations simultaneously. {| class="wikitable" |+ |Enigma ID |S35 (formerly XSR) |- |Name |The Siren |- |Frequencies |4940 kHz, 5626 kHz |- |Status |Inactive |- |Voice |Male, live |- |Emission Mode |J3E (USB) |- |Location |St. Petersburg, Russia |- |Activity pages |2026 |} == Frequencies == 4940 kHz USB (main frequency) 5626 kHz USB (alt frequency) 3297 kHz USB (testing frequency) == Channel Markers == The station has had a variety of channel markers, starting with a siren-sounding channel marker, similar to the one used on 6911 kHz. Voice messages are less common than they were, sometimes sending over 5 a day. == Callsigns == Their callsigns used were: Rokya-81 VZhRYa BZhATs VZhAYu BShchT3 Dalya-23 Zh'KhI == Locations == In mid August 2026, they moved from Smolensk, Russia to Minsk, Belarus. In late August, they moved from Minsk to Romania, and on August 30th, 2026, they moved to Novosibirsk, Russia. Then, on September 1st, 2026, they moved to Saint Petersburg, to achieve easier accessability to the recipients.
