About me

Hi, I'm Sophie. I'm based in Latvia and I like building things at every layer, from firmware on microcontrollers up to web apps, and I run my own infrastructure under the sad.ovh domain.

Interests
Self-hosting (Proxmox, k3s, Docker, LXC), embedded systems (ESP32, STM32, Raspberry Pi), full-stack web (TypeScript, Bun, Deno, React, SvelteKit), game and platform dev, SDR/radio, 3D printing and PCB design.

Projects

  • ant: a custom JavaScript runtime written in C, with its own "silver" compiler/engine and an ESM/CommonJS interop layer.
  • Anti-bot proxy: an Anubis-style multi-site reverse proxy that uses Cap captchas for authentication and is configured through proxy.toml.
  • kojas.beer: a Latvian school timetable viewer built with SvelteKit and Deno.
  • bleh: a last.fm client, currently being migrated to TSX.
  • CONQUEST: a pixel-based real-time MMO 4X game with shared nation control, developed with NekoWARE.
  • ClassiCube server: a Go game server with a Lua plugin API and CPE extensions.
  • KCP Velocity: a low-latency Minecraft networking plugin over KCP/UDP, with a companion Fabric client mod.
  • ComputerCraft autocrafting: a binary recipe format plus a storage-aware craft planner in Lua.
  • illumos desktop OS: my attempt at a general-purpose desktop OS based on illumos, with a custom Go package manager.
  • FM/RDS transmitter: a GNU Radio flowgraph with RDS encoding, plus experiments in lossless audio over radio.
  • Raspberry Pi 5 robotics: servo control, computer vision, and custom PCB and bootloader work.
  • MPP ecosystem: bots, voice chat, and frontend work for Multiplayer Piano.
