SimTX Wiki

SimTX is a shared radio simulation. Set up a virtual transmitter, send audio, and listen with a receiver. No physical radio or antenna is needed. Distance, antennas, and radio conditions affect what listeners hear.

Start here: download SimTX and make your first transmission

The illustrated guide covers installation, account sign-in, server selection, a working example, listening, and saving your settings.

Learn in order

  1. Download and transmit: follow one complete example from an empty desktop to your first TX session.
  2. Find your way around: identify the controls and understand the meters.
  3. Choose what to send: play a file, use a microphone, or send a stream.
  4. Change frequency and coverage: choose and adjust an antenna, then learn why reception changes.
  5. Add features: install modes, audio processors, tools, and themes without writing code.
