Radiom-77

The marker shown in this picture is what was used on the 23rd of July. It sounds like the buzzer from the early 2000's. This is also on Radiom-77's main frequency.

This image is of another variation of a marker used by radiom-77. It had seemed to be a recreation of the temporary low pip marker the buzzer had used in 2022. This was also prior to the mysterious shutdown in late 2018.

Radiom-77

Radiom-77 is the name and callsign of a Russian military communication station. Hobbyists in Russia and nearby countries first discovered the station in late 2018 on 7020, 7040 and 7050 KHZ with it rarely being seen on 6988 KHZ. Until mid 2026, NO activity had been detected with many suspecting the station was permanently gone . It was suspected that Radiom-77 was located near Rostov-On-Don in the southern military district of Russia. Additionally the marker/generator used is suspected to be of extremely poor quality and frequent breakdowns were logged as well as the frequency even drifting by up to a KHZ at one point.

The station re-appeared on 4728 KHZ half way through 2026. Many hobbyists reported the station being much stronger near Finland and other neighbouring countries of Russia. Through triangulation it is assumed that the station is located in the Novgorod Oblast with a much much more stable transmitter.

Only a few actual voice messages have been recorded and logged with most voice activity being test counts with voice messages being in 4 figure UZOR format. It is VERY RARE that Radiom-77 will address another known station known as FENT.

Most activity with Radiom-77 and FENT has merely been reception checks.

An example of a message between Radiom-77 and FENT: "Fyodor Ehko Nikolai Tatyana... Fyodor Ehko Nikolai Tatyana... Ja Radiom simdyset sim.. priyom".

Test counts are usually in this format.

"Radiom simdyset sim... Radiom simdyset sim... odin dva tri chetyre pyat shest sem vosem devyat nul"

"odin dva tri chetyre pyat shest sem vosem devyat nul"

"odin dva tri chetyre pyat shest sem vosem devyat desyat"

It is unknown whether this is operator error or intentional but after a voice message or test count, Radiom-77's marker is left off with only 50hz kerro transmitter noise being audible.

Radiom-77 has a very unstable and erratic schedule.

The station has been logged as quite active during the summer but between the 23rd and 20th of july no activity was logged.

Before summer the station was mainly active from 3PM GMT to 10PM GMT on Monday to Friday. With the station being active from 7AM GMT to 10PM GMT.

Lastly, Radiom-77's marker can change quite often with multiple variations of already existing stations being "remade" or "recreated" in a worse way. Sometimes other stations like the pip or buzzer have their audio routed into the stations transmitter with evidence of the pip and radiom-77 transmitting t the same marker at milliseconds of difference.

Current frequencies that Radiom-77 operates on:

4728KHZ-Main frequency for day and night.

4213KHZ-Suspected to be backup frequency for day and night due to frequent jamming of main frequency.

24th of July 14:26 GMT. A morse code variant of Radiom-77 has been found on 4512KHZ.
